This quote is taken from the hearth of the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. Originally constructed in 1917. Edwin Grove and Fred L. Seely were the architects, and this quote could by from either man, most likely Seely. It's carved into one of the fireplace mantels in the great room and I fell in love with this love note to all who enter the inn, in hopes that they keep coming back. It still rings true today. The andiron design I took from the same fireplace and these were designed by the original Roycrofters of the era. This hotel hosts the annual Arts & Crafts Conference that I have attended for over a decade as an exhibitor each February, and it's become a second home to me, full of memories and friends.
