Welcome to The Bungalow Craft by Julie Leidel
The mediums and textures of the Arts & Crafts Movement-wood, mica, pigment, glass, metal, clay, leather, and textile-have all played a role in shaping my artwork and how I see the world through it. These rich colors and textures continue to inspire me and enrich my artistic expression. I've been wanting to share my news and musings about my artistic inspiration for awhile, so I've started my very own blog page because, well, everyone has one these days.
My website has a full list of all my artwork and products available for purchase under the shop link. My 2017 Art Show Schedule is coming out in early April for the Summer. I also have a number of retail stores around Colorado and a few other states that carry my artwork. To see a full list, please check out my Shows & Locations page. The 2017 Colorado Tourism Guide - "Alive" featured an article on my work, and my favorite places and artists around the Denver area, check it out if you'll be in Colorado this year.
Want to join my mailing list The Bungalow Craft News? You'll get only a few email notifications a year with introductions to new art, upcoming shows and news. The very latest will happen on Facebook first, so feel free to follow my Facebook page.
In 2016, I was accepted as a Roycroft Renaissance Artisan. To me, this is a career-defining new chapter in my life. On my new 2016 original paintings you'll see the Double "R" Roycroft trademark. I'm honored and humbled to be accepted into this prestigious artisan group. I'm also a board member for The Colorado Arts and Crafts Society, so if you are interested in learning more about this wonderful Colorado organization, please visit www.coloarts-crafts.org. If you like my artwork, chances are you'll also enjoy my contemporary links page focused on fellow artisans inspired specifically by the Art & Crafts Movement and its Revival.
There are 7 galleries with over 165 paintings to choose from on this website so feel free to take a look around. Creating new artwork is my life's blood so this site will continue to grow. Feel free to browse and I really love hearing from you. If you have questions or comments, requests, or suggestions, send me an email.
Thanks for stopping by,
Julie Leidel
