I love our Colorado National Parks! Great Sand Dunes National Park has been one of my favorite places to visit in Colorado. It's unlike any other place on earth. The San Luis Valley used to be covered in large lakes centuries ago and the winds could only carry the sand so far. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains brought their travel to a stop forming one of the most desolate and beautiful natural features in America. This artwork was inspired by one of my photos, and a photo from the NPS.
