Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado has a beautiful view of Pikes Peak just a few miles off campus. Cutler Hall, built in 1879 was the first building on campus and is featured in this painting. Of important side note, the Van Briggle Memorial Pottery Building (built in 1907) is now part of the Colorado College campus and is a National Historical Landmark as a unique and Flemish-Farmhouse architecture boasts of one of the only Art Nouveau buildings still standing in America, West of the Mississippi, with it's beautiful art tiles gracing the interior and exterior.
