- Boettcher Mansion
The Boettcher Mansion is a historic mountaintop estate, built in 1917 as a summer home and hunting lodge (Originally known as Lorraine Lodge) for Charles Boettcher. Upon Boettcher's death, the Boettcher Foundation offered the home to the State of Colorado as the Governor's residence and is now operated by Jeffco Open Space as an events center. This was the headquarters for the Colorado Arts & Crafts Society for many decades and has a special place in my heart.
