Over five hundred years ago, Leonardo Da Vinci observed that nothing in nature exists alone. Long before ecology, systems science, or modern physics, he understood that each form participates in a larger whole. Everything enters a web of interdependence. Forest, soil, water, atmosphere, and light move together as one continuous process. We live on a thin surface of this vast exchange — seeing only a narrow band of light, sensing only a fraction of what surrounds us. Beneath the ground, roots speak through fungal threads. Above us, energy travels invisibly through the plasma of space. The Earth is not a collection of separate parts but a living relationship; systems within systems. What appears independent is participating, and what appears still is in motion. We are connected. We belong as part of the whole.
