- Decker Library
The Platt Park neighborhood in Denver, CO is full of mature trees and quiet beauty. The Decker Branch Library in Denver, which is featured here in my painting, was founded in 1913 and named after suffragist Sarah Platt Decker. This library was funded by a grant from Andrew Carnegie and was the second of his four library projects in Denver. The library is known for its unique castle-like English cottage style and interior murals, and is a recognizable part of this iconic neighborhood.
